Requirements for Shipping
All horses are required to have a negative equine infectious anemia report, aka coggins test, within 6 months to 1 year of transport, depending upon requirements of the state of destination. A negative coggins test within 6 months of shipment is best. Additionally required is a health certificate written within 10 to 45 days of transport. Again, the time frame depends upon the requirements of the state of destination. The only exception to this rule is a baby not weaned from the mother.
It is always best to consult with your vet regarding current regulations and to determine if any other test of vaccinations are required for shipment to your destination.
